Richmond Group was tasked with the job of renovating an existing abandoned Wal-Mart retail store and site into a multi-building retail center. The outcome was a 256,000 square foot retail and restaurant complex; making this vital corner in Southlake, TX, once again a destination hub.
To eliminate excess waste and to stay within budget, the façade of the existing building was removed, and the structure was reused. The character of the new construction meshed with the surrounding built environment, using local materials and construction practices.
To bring visual interest, large cut Austin stone was used in varying configurations to provide vertical, as well as, horizontal markers and delineations.
