Chisholm Trail Coffee House, is a quaint coffee house and deli, located on the eastern edge of the Chisholm Trail. The owner's vision for the eatery, was a mixture of old world rural charm, with a few modern conveniences. WIth this in mind, Richmond Group set out to bring the owner's requests to fruition.

To accomplish the task at hand, the Trail House was designed to resemble a ranch house with a modern addition. By using local recycled materials (i.e., tin roofing from a neighboring barn and river stone) the dining portion of the building appears as if its been apart of the landscape for many years. In direct contrast, the serving portion of the building uses a more modern galvalume standing seam roofing with an austere modular stone.

Richmond Group continued the contrasting theme of the exterior to the interior decor. The serving line and kitchen are fitted with modern appliances, stainless steel surfaces, and polished concrete floors; while the dining room decor includes a wagon wheel chandelier, stucco surfaced walls, exposed wood trusses, and decorative long horns above the fireplace. Finally, the exterior patio continues the rustic theme with a cedar log trellis, recycled wood door, and fire pit.
