South Frisco Village is a 225,000 square foot retail center located at one of the busiest intersections in Collin County.  The center’s tenant roster includes Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Office Depot, Jo-Ann Fabrics, among many other national retailers.

It’s location, directly adjacent to the 1.7 million square foot Stonebriar Mall, puts it within prime visibility of over 52,000 vehicles per day.  With this in mind, Richmond Group designed the project using grandiose elements to reinforce its prime location, while also using local materials to provide a pedestrian scale familiarity.  The intent was to provide the center a grand statement for vehicular traffic, while providing intimate appeal for pedestrian visitors.

Stone colonnades and planters, along with pedestrian level sidewalk lighting provide human scaled elements to directly counter the grand gestures of the larger design elements geared to attract high speed vehicular traffic.
